Emory University freshman Brett Lake led the Eagles with a .429 batting average (six-for-14) during three games last week.  Hitting leadoff for Emory in all three games, Lake also led all Eagles in RBIs (three) and stolen bases (four) during last week’s action.  During a 5-4 extra inning win over Denison University on Friday, the right fielder went four-for-five with a stolen base, in addition to scoring the first run of the game for the Eagles and driving in a key run in the sixth inning.  In a 7-5 loss to Huntingdon College on Wednesday, Lake plated runs with an RBI single and a groundout, finishing the contest one-for-four with a stolen base and a walk.  He added a one-for-five performance with two stolen bases and a run scored against Denison on Sunday, helping Emory to a 9-7 victory.  Lake is now hitting .277 this season with 11 runs scored, six runs batted in, and a team-best eight stolen bases.  He has helped Emory to a 7-5 start to its 2012 campaign.
