Through two rounds of play, the Emory men's golf team holds the top spot at the Golfweek Invitational in Sandestin, FL. The 54-hole tournament is being played on the 6635-yard, par-71 Raven Course at the Sandestin Resort.

The No. 3 ranked Eagles lead the field through two rounds with a score of 564 (287-277) in large part because of a tournament-best 38 birdies. Emory outdid the other 23 teams in attendance, including all other top-five ranked teams of the GCAA Top 25 Poll, through one round with a five-stroke lead and maintained that lead through the second round on Monday. No. 1 ranked Methodist finds themselves in second place registering 569 (292-277) and unranked Hampden-Sydney rounds out the podium with a 579 (290-289).

In his first tournament of the year, junior Jackson Klutznick is tied for second in the field of 120 golfers with a three-under par 139 after a historic second round effort. Klutznick carded a seven-under par 64 on Monday during round two, establishing a new program record for a lowest round. Freshman Tony Li, competing in his first collegiate tournament, posted an impressive two-round score of 140 (69-71) good for fourth place. Senior Logan Ryan continued his role as the steadying force for the Eagles posting back-to-back scores of 71 and is knotted up in 11th place. Seniors Max Schwarz (73-71) and Davis Hingtgen (74-76) closed out scoring for Emory as they are currently tied for 21st and tied for 54th, respectively.

The final round of the Golfweek Invitational will take place on Tuesday, October 18th.
