The Emory men's golf team dominated the course in the final round of the Golfweek Invitational leading to its second consecutive tournament victory. The 54-hole tournament was played on the 6635-yard, par-71 Raven Course at the Sandestin Resort.

The No. 3 ranked Eagles held a five-stroke lead going into the final round and extended that lead to 13-strokes after carding a tournament best 276. Emory's three round total of 840 (287-277-276) marks their best performance of the year and was spurred on by their tournament leading 40 birdies. No. 1 ranked Methodist finished the tournament in second place registering 853 (292-277-284) while unranked Hampden-Sydney placed third scoring an 868 (290-289-289). The Eagles defeated all 13 teams in attendance ranked in the GCAA Top 25 Poll including the four other teams ranked in the top five.

Junior Jackson Klutznick, who established a new program record for lowest round on Monday, kept the good times rolling with a four-under par 67 bringing his three-day total to 206 (75-64-67) which was good for a second-place tie. Senior Logan Ryan (71-71-68) moved up the standings with an impressive day three that saw him finish tied for fourth. Freshman Tony Li, who posted a tournament best -2 on par-4 holes, finished in 6th place with a score of 211 (69-71-71). Senior Max Schwarz finished knotted up in 20th place with a score of 216 (73-71-72) with the help of the 11 birdies he hit over the course of the tournament. Rounding out the scoring for the Eagles was senior Davis Hingtgen who carded 220 (74-76-70) good for 29th place.

Averett University's Caleb Kimbrough took home the gold with a score of 205 (67-72-66).

The Eagles will compete in the Chick-Fil-A Invitational on October, 25-26 which marks their last tournament of the fall semester.
