Men's Golf Holds Down Top Two Spots at Emory Spring Invitational

The Emory University men's golf team sent two squads to compete at the Emory Spring Invitational in Conyers, Georgia and they are holding down the top two spots through two rounds of competition. 

The No. 1 ranked Emory A team is in first having put up a two round score of 604 (296-308) while the Emory B team is in the silver medalist position with a 36-hole total of 609 (305-304). The two teams hold down the top two spots in total pars as they have been the model of consistency through the tournament so far. The tournament consists of a field of 13 teams which includes six teams who are ranked within the top 25. In the third spot is No. 21 Babson who have carded a 610 (306-304) thus far.

Shooting a tournament best two-over par 146 (73-73), junior Jackson Klutznick has led the way for the A-team as his performance on par-4 holes (-1) has put him atop the field through two thirds of the tournament. Sophomore Tony Li is tied for second and trails Klutznick by a single stroke as he notched a 147 (72-75) on the first day. Tied for 12th is freshman Brian Hanson whose two round total has come out to a 152 (74-78). Rounding out scoring for the Eagles first team were sophomore Michael Burry (159) and sophomore Nicholas Nautiyal (163) who are tied for 36th and 50th, respectively. 

For Emory's second team, junior Tarun Hoskere is tied with teammate Li for second place as he has posted a two-round total of 147 (73-74) as he leads all players on par-5 holes having hit four-under par on those holes. Sophomore Josh Qian and junior Michael Rosenbloom are tied for ninth as each of them posted a 151. Senior Grant Drogosch and junior Logan Lowery brought up the back end of scoring as they posted a 160 and 164, respectively. 

Emory will play the last round of the Emory Spring Invitational tomorrow with the first set of Eagles set to tee-off at 8:20 AM.
