Sophomore Jair Knight averaged 18.5 PPG and 8.0 RPG as the Eagles went 1-1 during the week against #20 and reigning national champions Christopher Newport and Rochester. Knight scored 10 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists and three blocks as Emory earned the key home win over the Captains on Wednesday, 86-70. He followed that with a career-best outing in the UAA opener, going for personal-bests 27 points and 12 rebounds as he led the Eagles in the slim 79-77 defeat on the road. He added four steals and two assists in the loss to UR.
