Junior Crow Thorsen won two events and was runner-up in another as the Eagles defeated Queens University of Charlotte in the season opening dual meet Saturday afternoon. Thorsen posted first place finishes in the 500 Freestyle (4:35.56) and 400 IM (3:59.81) and placed second in the 200 Freestyle (1:39.57). All three times were the fastest recorded in the country during the first weekend of competition. Thorsen also was part of the Eagles' D relay team in the 200 Medley, placing sixth at 1:35.37.
