Men’s Tennis Defeats Denison, 6-3, in Top 10 Showdown

The Emory University men's tennis team took down the Denison Big Red by a 6-3 decision on Friday afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Eagles improve to 9-2 on the season with the win and hand the Big Red their second loss of the spring.

In doubles, graduate student Charlie James and junior Ryan Glanville continued their impressive season with an 8-2 win on court one. Junior Nolan Shah and freshman Dean Kamenev secured the second point for the Eagles with their 8-3 decision on court three.

In singles, senior Andrew Esses posted a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 decision on court one followed by a 6-2, 7-6 win by Shah on court two and a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory from Kamenev on three. James ended with a 6-4, 6-3 decision on court four to secure the win for the Eagles.

Emory will host Birmingham Southern and Washington College in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 18 at 11 am and 3 pm.
