Men's Tennis Earns At-Large Bid to NCAA Tournament

The No. 7 ranked Emory University men's tennis team is once again headed to the NCAA postseason as the 2023 tournament field was announced Monday afternoon.

The Eagles received one of the final nine at-large selections and will be one of 44 teams vying for the national championship.

For the opening weekend, Emory (16-5) will be making the trip to Rocky Mount, North Carolina for the opening rounds and received a first-round bye in the North Carolina Wesleyan regional. The Battling Bishops will serve as the opening round host this weekend.

The Eagles await the winner of St. Mary's (MD) (11-3) and Drew University (16-4) in the second round. The Seahawks earned an automatic bid by virtue of the United East championship while the Rangers claimed the Landmark Conference crown.

On the other side of the draw will be host NC Weseylan (16-10), winners of the USA South Conference, pitted against No. 25 ranked and ODAC champions Washington & Lee University (17-5).

Emory's second round match will take place on Saturday, May 6 with the Round 16 match to occur on Sunday, May 7 with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line.

This is Emory's 33rd consecutive trip to the NCAA postseason with the Eagles in search of their seventh national championship in program history.
