Freshman (2011):
Banner rookie season that saw her bring home many awards and honors ... Second Team All-American selection by the NFCA ... Played in all 46 games and ended the year leading the team and UAA in hitting with her .449 mark (62-of-138)  placing her 57th nationally and 11th on Emory's seasonal ladder ... Named the UAA's Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year ... First Team All-UAA honoree .... Her 61 RBIs established a school record and led the UAA ... Averaged 1.33 RBIs per game, good for 14th place nationally among D-III players ... Her team-high 16 doubles placed her second among UAA players and tied for the No. 4 spot on the Eagles' seasonal ladder ... Led the league and stood 45th nationally with a .790 slugging percentage that ranked second on the school's seasonal ladder ... Gained a berth on the UAA All-Tournament Team after helping the Eagles to the championship with an 8-0 mark, hitting .565, with a league-tying 13 safeties in 23 trips to the plate ... Also registered a league-best 16 RBIs during the conference championship ... Big outing vs. Washington University (Mar. 10) with a pair of homers and four RBIs in an 8-0 win ... In a Mar. 13 contest vs. Wash U., she went 3-for-4 at the plate. including another homer, with two RBIs and two runs scored ... Came through with a season-high five RBIs, including a grand slam, vs. Case Western (Mar. 10) ... Came through with the game-winning RBI vs. Piedmont (Apr. 21) in an opening-game 3-0 triumph and knocked in two more runs in the nightcap in a 5-4 verdict ... Against then No. 8-ranked DePauw, she went a combined four-for-eight in the twinbill with four RBIs ... Ended the year with an 11-game hitting streak that included one safety in each of Emory's three NCAA Tournament games ... Hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the first in the Eagles' 6-1 win over Kean (May 12) in the opening game of the Salisbury Regional ... 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs, including a two-run double, in a 5-2 win over Rhodes College (Apr. 9) in the first game of a doubleheader ... 62 hits led both Emory and the UAA while placing her in a tie for seventh place on the school's seasonal list ... Finished the campaign with nine home runs, second on the team and second most by an Emory player in a season ...  Topped the squad with 19 multi-hit outings and delivered a team-best 17 contests with two or more RBIs ... Enjoyed a team-best 17-game hitting streak (Mar. 6- Mar. 24) and had two or more safeties in nine contests during that stretch ... Knocked in the team's first run and registered a pair of RBIs vs. LaGrange (Apr. 26) in a 5-4 win ... 3-for-3 effort at the place and finished with three RBIs and three runs scored in a 7-0 decision over Covenant College (Mar. 16) in the second game of a doublheader ... First career homer was a two-run blast and closed out the team's scoring in a 7-0 win vs. Maryville College (Feb. 19).

High School:
Four-year member of the softball program at North Springs Charter High School ... Was coached by Sarah Coleman ... Served as team captain as a senior ... Distinguished herself on the mound and at the plate ... Tossed 163 innings and totaled 199 strikeouts while crafting an ERA of  1.62 ... A four-time team MVP, she hit a hefty .444 as a junior and closed out her senior year with a .394 average ... Captured all-area honors her final campaign ... Also competed on the lacrosse team.

Was a member of the 18U Georgia Fire Gold (Lilburn) team and played summer ball for the 16U Atlanta Worth Cobras, helping her club qualify for the exclusive Hall of Fame Tournament. 

Personal:
Born February 12, 1992 ... Daughter of Mark and Lisa Light ... Plans to major in biology ... Recipient of the Scholar Athlete of the Year presented by the Georgia Best Chevy Dealers and awarded at the 5th Annual Atlanta Sports Awards.
