Senior Taylor Forte swung a hot bat in helping the Emory softball team to a 4-2 record over a six-game stretch.
Forte hit a blistering .619, collecting a team-high 13 hits in 21 plate appearances. She knocked in five runs and topped the squad with a .680 on-base percentage. She recorded five multi-hit contests, upping her team-high total to 11 on the year.
One of her performances saw her go 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBIs In a 9-1 decision over Maryville College. In the series opener vs. Case Western Reserve, she picked up four hits, including a double, in four at-bats and scored a run. She would go on to register a pair of hits in each of the last two games against the Spartans and score three runs.
A starter in all 26 games this season, Forte is hitting at a .438 clip (35 of 80) and paces the club in hits and runs scored (23).
