Junior Toko Miller came through with a sterling effort in the circle that helped the Emory softball team salvage a split of a doubleheader vs. Birmingham Southern.
Miller tossed a complete-game shutout against the Panthers, allowing just three hits and striking out in helping the Eagles to a second-game, 5-0 victory. Miller sat down the final nine BSC batters she faced in recording her second career seven-inning whitewash.
Emory returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 17, when it hosts No. 19 Berry College in a twinbill.
