Senior Toko Miller turned in a pair of solid efforts in the Emory softball team's split of a doubleheader against Maryville College.
Miller threw 7 1/3 shutout innings over the two games, giving up just three hits and striking out five.
Miller came on in the relief in the opener of the twinbill and tossed 2 1/3 innings of scoreless ball, allowing just one hit while striking out a pair. In the nightcap, an 8-3 Emory victory, she got the starting nod and win in the circle and went the first five frames, holding the Scots without out a run while fanning three and not issuing any walks. Miller's performance allowed her to boost her season record to 2-0.
