Senior Mattie Ryan was her usual efficient self in the circle, pitching two complete games which lead to a 2-1 record on the weekend. In her three appearances, Ryan had a combined ERA of 0.53 as she gave up just a single earned run in 13.1 innings of work. In her last start of the weekend against the LaGrange Panthers, Ryan went for a career high seven strikeouts and did not walk a single batter. On top of her outstanding showing as a pitcher, Ryan had an equally impressive showing at the plate for the Eagles. Ryan finished the weekend with a team-leading seven RBI including a three-RBI shot to left field in the first game against Covenant to help lead Emory to a 3-1 weekend.
