Emory University women's basketball assistant coach Alex Berman has been selected as a Thirty Under 30 honoree as announced by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association on Thursday afternoon.
The WBCA Thirty Under 30 program was created to recognize 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches aged 30 and under at all levels of the game. Each honoree has exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship and impact on others, professional manner and attitude and professional association involvement. This season, 31 honorees were selected due to a tie in the selection process.
This season, the women's basketball team saw its first ever back-to-back NCAA tournament selection in program history after posting a 19-7 record during the 2023-24 season. Following the season, the Eagles saw three All-UAA selections before graduate student Claire Brock was named a finalist for the Jostens Trophy and was selected to the WBCA Collegiate All-Star Game.
Under Berman's leadership for the past three seasons, Emory women's basketball has posted a record of 51-24 with two NCAA tournament selections and has seen seven All-UAA selections. The Eagles have also seen four D3hoops.com All-Region selections including two this past season.
