Ksheera Jalakam opened her collegiate golf career by posting a first-round 76 to put herself in a tie for 2nd-place at the end of the initial 18 holes at the NCAA DIII Preview at the PGA National Resort-Palmer Course.

The freshman attacked the Par 4's this past weekend in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, ranking 14th out of 70 golfers in Par 4-scoring, averaging just 4.53 strokes on those holes. After the rookie's blazing start, Jalakam turned in score cards of 80 and 87 in rounds two and three, concluding her debut tournament in a tie for 21st-place overall at +27.
