The Emory University women's golf team finished fourth in the field of 15 teams at the MCC Intercollegiate Monday afternoon. The two-round tournament was played at the 5,613-yard, par-72 Montgomery Golf Course in Montgomery, AL.
The No. 1 ranked Eagles turned in a two-day team score of 595 (296-299) to finish fourth in the team standings. No. 7 ranked WashU paced all schools at the event with a 579, four strokes better than second place No. 9 Centre College. No. 6 ranked Washington & Lee was third at 593.
Sophomore Sharon Mun carded a two-round total of 141 including a 68 on Monday to finish second overall while junior Mariana Chong added a top-20 finish, tying for 12th at 148 (75-73). Junior Irene Wang finished tied for 24th with 74-79 (153) with sophomore Heejo Hyun finishing one stroke behind in 28th position. Sophomore Ellen Dong rounded out the Eagle performers at the tournament, carding a 76-79 to finish tied for 32nd.
Emory closes out the fall with the Golfweek Division III Invitational in Sandestin, FL October 16-18.
