Junior Kathryn Trinka helped the No. 1-ranked Eagle volleyball team to a 4-0 record at the Emory Classic, enabling the squad to boost its season record to 9-0.
The 6-foot-1 Trinka played in all 12 of the team's sets and averaged a squad-best 4.17 kills per game while hitting a solid .365 (50-12--104).
Trinka paced all players in all four outings and recorded three contests of double-figure kills, including a 15-terminations performance in a 3-0 win over Covenant College, a contest that saw her hit a season-best .538 (15-1--26). Following the bout against the Lady Scots, Trinka hit .345 on the strength of a match-high 13 kills with just three errors in 29 opportunities in a 3-0 verdict over Johns Hopkins. On the final day of action at the Classic, Trinka topped all performers with 13 and nine kills, respectively, in 3-0 triumphs over Lakeland College and Susquehanna University.
On the year, Trinka leads the club with a 3.93 kills-per-set average and owns a .305 attack percentage (114-32--269).
