Sophomore Sarah Luong has come on strong in the latter portions of the Eagles season as she has been the guiding force of the Eagles offense and is largely responsible for their 3-0 weekend at the Emory Classic Tournament. Luong tallied an impressive 102 assists in ten sets of work, including a season-high 40 in the Eagles four-set victory over Averett which also marked the highest number by any Eagle in four-sets this year. On top of her setting accomplishments, Luong also showed off her defensive chops tallying 34 digs on the weekend including a team-high 15 in the Eagles win over Wooster. Luong was able to levy her setting prowess into some sneaky attacks as well as she totaled 11 kills, all of which came on second hit attacks, on an impressive .450 hitting percentage (11-2--20).
