Sophomore Ioanna Copulos had an impressive day on offense totaling 43 assists including 24 in the second match setting a new career high.

In the first match against NYU, the Violets started the first set with a 7-3 lead before the Eagles went on a five-point run to take an 8-7 lead. The match continued with tie-after-tie before the Eagles were able to take advantage of an attack error from NYU to finish the set 25-21. The Eagles dominated the second set of the match taking the lead 13-8 after another six-point run. From there, Emory took control of the set and won 25-18 highlighted by kills from junior Alana Dawson and Wallace.

The Violets had a slight advantage in the third set but the Eagles followed right behind the entire set. NYU finished the set 22-25 on a kill to force a fourth set. Emory ran with the fourth set holding another 13-8 lead over the Violets in the middle of the set. Kills from juniors Lily Martin and Madison Cail ended the set and the match for the Eagles with a 25-18 score.

Case Western Reserve answered with five points of their own, but the effort fell short and Emory took the third set 25-14. The fourth set was another close back and forth matchup seeing several ties before the Eagles pulled away and won the match 25-22.
