Volleyball Secures At-Large Bid to NCAA Tournament; Faces Meredith in First Round

For the 27th season in a row, the Emory University volleyball team will be heading to the NCAA Tournament after receiving an at-large bid to the 64 team-field as announced on Monday afternoon. The 27-season streak is the second longest active streak in Division III just behind Juniata.

The No. 4 ranked Eagles (24-2), who come in as the top ranked team in the region, will take on the Meredith College Avenging Angels (25-6) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, November 16th at 2 pm. The meeting between the Eagles and Angels marks the fourth time the two will play with the Eagles holding a 3-0 advantage after the last meeting in 2018.

Joining Emory and Meredith in the eight-team regional in Mount Berry, Georgia are Mt. St. Joseph, Covenant, Trinity (TX), Wittenberg, Washington and Lee and regional host Berry. The winner of Emory and Meredith will face the winner of the Mt. St. Joseph and Covenant match on Friday afternoon.
