Emory University junior Dani Bland was named the University Athletic Association's Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week late Monday afternoon. It is the first weekly honor of the season for Bland and the fourth of her career.

The third-year sprinter impressed again for the Eagles as the women's team finished second in the team standings at its home classic over the weekend. Bland recorded individual times that rank as the third fastest in Division III and first in the UAA this season in the 100m (12.10) and 200m (24.66) dashes and was a member of the 4x400m Relay team along with classmate Dilys Osei, sophomore Kaitlyn Leonard and senior Erica Goldman that turned in a Division III leading time of 3:47.35. At the meet, Bland was an event winner in both the 200 and 4x400, second in the 100 and was a member of the 4x100 relay that placed fourth at 48.57.

The Eagles' Track and Field programs travel to Rome, GA this weekend for Berry College's Field Day Invitational on April 6th and 7th.
