Benjamin Rogin, Isabel Saridakis Earn UAA Track & Field Weekly Honors

Emory University senior Benjamin Rogin and sophomore Isabel Saridakis claimed two of the University Athletic Association Track and Field weekly honors announced by the conference office late Monday afternoon.

Rogin was named the Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after excelling for the Eagles at the Berry Field Day Invitational, helping the men to a first place finish in the team standings. Rogin was first in the 400m Hurdles with a personal-best time of 55.16 and was third in the 110m Hurdles at 14.91. Both times moved him to the top of the UAA with his 400m time also ranking 17th in Division III and his 110m time placing him 27th in the country. Rogin was also a member of the 4x100m Relay that posted a season-best time of 43.36 which is currently the third fastest run in the UAA this season.

Saridakis garnered the Women’s Outdoor Field weekly award after breaking the Emory women’s school record in the pole vault on Friday with a winning height of 3.65m. Her mark was the best recorded in the event among UAA leaders so far this season and currently ranks 12th in Division III.

The Eagles venture to Tennessee this weekend for the Mountain Laurel Invitational at Sewanee on Friday.
