Emory Baseball Selected to NCAA Tournament

For the first time since finishing second in the nation in 2007, the Emory University baseball team is tournament-bound, as the Eagles received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championships.
O’Connor & Page Named to the Capital One Academic All-District Baseball Team

Emory University seniors Kevin O’Connor and Jay Page were each named infielders on the Capital One Academic All-District First Team, as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), based on their athletic and academic performances this year.
Six Eagles Earn University Athletic Association Baseball Honors

Six members of the Emory University baseball team earned University Athletic Association (UAA) recognition, as junior pitcher Mike Bitanga, sophomore outfielder Brandon Hannon and sophomore catcher Jared Welch were named to the all-UAA first team, junior outfielder Daniel Iturrey and senior first baseman Jay Page were named to the second team, and freshman pitcher Connor Dillman was named the conference Rookie of the Year.

A shorthanded Emory University baseball team fought tough against a higher-Division opponent on Wednesday night, but ultimately fell short against North Georgia College and State University, losing 5-4 in its regular season finale on Wednesday night.

(Baseball) Emory University sophomore Matt McMahon limited Division II North Georgia College and State University to just one run on four hits over four innings of work on Wednesday. During the 64-pitch effort, McMahon struck out three batters, while walking just one leaving the game with a 2-1 lead after four innings. [more]
