Despite the Eagles going 1-3 against #11 Birmingham-Southern and Piedmont, senior Jacob Grossman was a presence in the Emory lineup across the four games. Grossman went 7-for-13 and slashed .538/.684/.846 while leading the team in runs (6), total bases (11), walks (6) and steals (6). In Tuesday's extra inning loss to the nationally-ranked Panthers, Grossman became the sixth player in Emory baseball history to steal four bases in a single game and notched season-highs in both hits (3) and runs (3). Grossman added two more hits in the series against in-state rival Piedmont and had a big game in Saturday's 7-5 win, going 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI.
