Jacob Grossman Tabbed to D3baseball.com National Team of the Week

Emory University senior Jacob Grossman became the fifth Emory Eagle to earn a spot on the National Team of the Week as announced by d3baseball.com Wednesday morning.

Grossman joins the list of Eagles to be honored nationally in 2024, joining juniors Jack Halloran, Blake Dincman, Bennett Speicher and freshman Trevor McAndrews. Earlier this week, Grossman collected his first-ever University Athletic Association Hitter of the Week award.

During the series at NYU, Grossman went 7-for-15 with six extra base hits to help Emory split the four-game set in Staten Island. Grossman tallied five doubles and one home run as he hit .467 to go along with a 1.000 slugging %, .579 on-base percentage and scored eight times. He opened the series with his first four-hit game of the season, going 4-for-5 with three doubles, two RBI and four runs scored as Emory won 14-4. In the Eagles' other win over the weekend, he went 2-for-4 with another double and his second HR as Emory won 13-7. Grossman added four walks in the series and stole two bases.

For the season, he is one of four Eagles batting over .330 as he owns a .336 clip having played in 29 games. His five doubles over the weekend brought his season total to 18, the most by any hitter so far at the Division III level.

The Eagles look to gain ground in the UAA race this weekend, traveling to St. Louis, Missouri for a meeting with the Bears of washU.
