Ben Reynolds Named Interim Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

Emory University Athletics Director Dr. Michael Vienna has announced the appointment of Ben Reynolds as Interim Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Reynolds has been on the Emory staff since the fall of 2013, serving as Graduate Assistant   Strength and Conditioning Coach.  His primary focus has been designing and implementing the

strength, conditioning, flexibility and agility programs for men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s middle and distance swimming, women’s cross country, men’s tennis and the track and field team, while assisting with all other Emory programs.

Prior to his arrival to Emory, Reynolds was an intern/volunteer coach at the University of South Carolina, working with football, track and field, and men’s soccer from August 2012 to June 2013.

A native of Chatham, Virginia, Reynolds began his career in strength and conditioning as an intern at James Madison University during the summer of 2012, working with men’s and women’s basketball as well as volleyball.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from James Madison in 2012 and will obtain his master’s degree from Georgia State University in the spring of 2016.

Ben is an USAW club coach and CSCCa certified.

Reynolds will fill the position on an interim basis following Steve King’s recent announcement of his resignation.  King had served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Emory since October of 2011.
