Senior (2007):

In his first year as a full time starter for the Eagles, Vidal finished the season with a 4-1 record and a 5.20 earned run average, as the team won five of his eight starts.  The senior walked just 14 batters while striking out a career-best 31 over 53.2 innings during the season.  In his three postseason appearances out of the bullpen, Vidal did not allow a run in five innings, giving up five hits and striking out four batters.  Against Franklin and Marshall College (Pa.), Vidal allowed just one run over five innings, while striking out three and not walking a batter.  He finishes his Emory career with a 5.31 earned run average and a 7-2 record over 45 appearances as an Eagle. 

Junior (2006):

Vidal appeared in 12 contests of relief for Emory, finishing with an ERA of 1.72 and a 1-0 record.  He pitched 15.2 innings, striking out 10 batters.  He struck out three batters on two different occasions, against Oglethorpe University (Ga.) on March 2 and the University of Rochester (N.Y.) on March 18.

Sophomore (2005):

Sophomore pitcher struck out 17 batters in 23.1 innings. Did not allow an earned run in six of his eight relief appearances.

Freshman (2004):

Vidal was 2-0 in seven games, one of them a start. He threw five innings and allowed two earned runs for the victory against Iowa Wesleyan March 17.

Played for four years on the Loyola Blakefield baseball team, serving as the team captain his senior year... Was named an all-conference pitcher his senior year, when he recorded a 2.13 earned run average... Had a 1.98 earned run average during his junior year in high school... Was coached by Mike DelGaudio... Also played volleyball in high school.
