The Emory University baseball team will try to put an end to its
five-game losing streak this weekend, as the Eagles will play at
Guilford College on Friday, and at Methodist University on Saturday
and Sunday.
The Eagles will begin the weekend with a record of 13-16, including
a 2-5 record in road games. Emory is coming off a 6-5 loss to
Oglethorpe University at Chappell Park on Wednesday, its
fifth-consecutive loss.
Guilford currently stands at 13-17 on the year, including a record
of 8-9 at home, and has lost four-straight games. Emory is
2-0 all time against Guilford, but the Eagles have not faced the
Quakers since the 1996 season. Friday’s game, which
will start at 3:00 PM, will have an audio webcast, accessible here.
Methodist, which received votes in the latest d3baseball.com poll,
stands at 22-8 on the season, including a 13-6 record at home this
year. Emory is 16-17-1 all time against Methodist, including
a pair of losses at home to the Monarchs last season.
Saturday's game against Methodist is slated for a 1:00 PM first
pitch, while Sunday's contest will begin at 2:00 PM.
