Emory University’s Patrick Riebsame drove
in three runs, but the Eagles were unable to muster any other
offense, as they fell 9-3 defeat at Huntingdon College on
Saturday.
Emory had leads of 1-0 after one inning, and 3-1 after three
innings, on an RBI bunt single and a two RBI double for
Riebsame. However, the Eagles were sunk by a five-run fifth
inning for the Hawks.
Sophomore Kevin O’Connor added two hits and
a run in the game for Emory, while Andrew DeYoung
and Jonathan Reilly also scored runs with a hit
apiece.
Emory’s Paul Schwendel took the loss,
falling to 2-3 on the season.
The Eagles will wrap up their two-game series at Huntingdon on
Sunday at 2:00 PM EST.
