Sophomore (2012):

Hinojosa started a team-high 13 games in 2012, finishing the year with a 5-4 record and an earned run average of 4.11.  He held opponents to a .294 batting average during his 85.1 innings of work, surrendering earned runs and striking out a career-high 45 batters.  Hinojosa was able to restrict right-handed batters to a .283 (69-for-244) batting average.  The righty excelled during the University Athletic Association (UAA) Tournament, going 2-0 over two starts with a 1.26 ERA over 14.1 innings.  Included in his conference performance was a UAA Championship-clinching victory over Washington University (Mo.) on March 16th, during which he delivered 7.1 shutout innings and struck out seven batters.  Hinojosa pitched at least six innings in 10 of his 13 starts, and at least eight innings on three occasions.  From February 18th through March 16th, he allowed two earned runs or less in each of his five starts.  

Freshman (2011):

Hinojosa was one of the top starters for the Eagles during the 2011 season, going 3-3 with a 3.30 earned run average in 12 appearances and 11 starts during his freshman year.  He pitched a team-high 73.2 innings during the year, striking out 33 batters, walking 22, and holding opponents to a .284 batting average against.  Hinojosa threw the only complete game of the season for the Eagles, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and striking out four against Hendrix College on April 2nd.  It was the first nine-inning complete game pitched by an Eagle in over four years.  He also threw seven shutout innings during his first collegiate start, holding Denison University scoreless on six hits and no walks, en route to a 5-0 Emory win.  Hinojosa provided a quality start (six innings or more pitched, three runs or less allowed) in six of his 11 starts during the year.  Hinojosa was named the UAA Athlete of the Week on February 21st.

Played on the Round Rock High School baseball team for four seasons, serving as the team captain during his senior year... Recorded a 3.42 earned run average with 41 strikeouts in 52 innings during his senior year... Coached by John Carter... Also played football.

Personal:

Born June 15, 1991... Was a high school academic all-state honoree in 2010, and an academic all-district honoree from 2008-10.
