Senior (2012):

Despite battling injury throughout the season, McGuiness emerged as Emory's most reliable lefty arm out of the bullpen, and turned in his best season as an Eagle.  Making nine appearances and one start, he finished the year with a 1-2 record and a 4.50 ERA, limiting opposing hitters to a .140 batting average.  In his 14 innings of work, McGuiness surrended just six hits and 10 walks, while striking out 13 batters.  Lefties hit just .083 against him during the year (one-for-12).  In his eight relief appearances, McGuiness was 1-1 with an 0.87 ERA and a .036 opponents batting average, holding teams without an earned run in all but one bullpen appearance.  He also picked off three batters during the season, and his 10 career pickoffs are the fourth-most in the program's history.

Junior (2011):

Coming off an injury, McGuiness appeared in seven games for the Eagles during the 2011 season, including one start.  He was 0-1 on the campaign with a 10.57 earned run average, striking out two batters over 7.2 innings pitched.  McGuiness pitched scoreless innings in back-to-back outings against Atlanta Christian College and the University of the South on April 6th and April 13th.  Left-handed batters hit just .286 (two-for-seven) against McGuiness during the season.  He picked off two base runners in 2011.

Sophomore (2010):

McGuiness appeared in 12 games during the 2010 season, 11 of which were out of the bullpen, and recorded a 7.48 earned run average.  In his 21.2 innings pitched, he struck out 11 batters, while aopponents hit just .277 off McGuiness.  With two outs in an inning, opponents were just three-for-20 against the southpaw for a .150 batting average.  He was the only Emory pitcher to throw in both of the team's shutouts during the season, throwing a perfect inning with a strikeout during Emory's 11-0 win over York College (Pa.) on February 27th, and three one-hit innings during the team's 5-0 win over Atlanta Christian College on April 21st.  McGuiness also threw four hitless, shutout innings of relief against Oglethorpe University on April 7th, striking out two batters.

Freshman (2009):
