Sophomore (2012):

McMahon appeared in 10 games for Emory in 2012, making two starts.  His 16 innings pitched were the fifth-most by an Eagle during the seaso, as the righty went 0-1 with a 6.19 earned run average.  McMahon recorded a save during the Eagles' 5-4 win at Huntingdon College on March 25th, recording the final two outs of the game. He also started and pitched four innings against Division II North Georgia College and State University on May 2nd, allowing just one run on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts.  McMahon held right-handed batters to a .265 (13-for-49) batting average during the season.

Freshman (2011):

McMahon was a workhorse for the Eagles during the 2011 campaign, appearing in 21 games (the eighth-most in school history), and going 4-3 with a 3.33 earned run average, one save, and 21 strikeouts in 51.1 innings pitched.  Opponents hit .286 off McMahon during the season, including a .242 batting average (15-for-62) from left-handed hitters.  He was strong with runners on base, holding opponents to a .186 batting average (21-for-113) with men on, and closed out innings well, keeping opposing batters to a .242 batting average (15-for-62) with two outs.   Of his 19 relief appearances, 14 were for two or more innings, and he held opposing teams scoreless in nine.  His best relief appearance of the season came on April 12th at Oglethorpe University, when he held the Stormy Petrels scoreless on two hits and a walk over four an a third innings, striking out three batters en route to the victory.  McMahon was 3-2 with a 3.32 ERA in his 19 relief appearances, and 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA in his two starts.

Prior to Emory:

Played on the Immaculate Conception baseball team for four seasons, serving as the team captain during his junior and senior years... Named to the all-area team three-straight years, and the all-district team twice... Was his team's Most Valuable Player in 2009 and 2010... Was 21st in Illinois state history with 159-consecutive varsity starts... Led his team to a fourth-place finish in the state in 2010... Also helped his team to regional and sectional championships in 2008 and 2010, and a super-sectional championship in 2010...Coached by Dan Holleman in high school... Also played varsity basketball for three seasons.

Personal:

Born November 9, 1991... Worked as a basketball camp instructor and an assistant coach for a high school league over the summer.
