Emory University junior Connor Dillman struck out 14 batters over seven shutout innings, helping the Eagles to an 8-0 win over Huntingdon College on Friday night in Montgomery, Alabama.  After allowing two of the first three hitters of the game to reach with singles, Dillman allowed just one more base hit and two walks over his next six and two-thirds innings of work, and did not allow a run past second base the entire outing.  The 14 strikeouts were a season-best for the right-handed pitcher, the second-most in a game in his career, and tied for the third-most ever in a contest by an Emory pitcher.  Dillman earned the win in the game to improve to 7-1 on the season, while lowering his ERA to 2.16.  The Eagles closed out their 2014 regular season with 10-straight wins against Division III opposition, improving to 29-10 overall.
