Emory University sophomore Hans Hansen pitched six-and-two-thirds strong innings in his first outing of the season, to give the Eagles a 5-2 win over Rhodes College. Hansen allowed just a pair of hits and two runs (only one earned), while walking two and striking out five in a 102-pitch effort. In addition, he retired 11-straight batters at one point in the game, between the third and seventh innings. Emory opened the season with a 3-0 record.
