Emory University junior shortstop Jack Karras led the Eagles with four RBIs during the team’s opening game of the season. Karras was three-for-eight (.375), adding a pair of runs, while playing perfect defense during the weekend. During the team’s season-opening 13-3 win over Lynchburg College on Saturday, he went two-for-four with a pair of runs scored and three runs batted in. He followed that with a one-for-four game in a 5-2 victory against Rhodes College on Sunday, driving in a key run with a base hit in the sixth inning. Karras’ performance has helped the Eagles open the season with a 3-0 record.
