Emory University freshman Matt Randolph pitched out of the bullpen in three of four games for the Eagles last week, helping the team to three wins.  Randolph pitched 5.2 innings in relief, yielding just one earned run (and two total) on six hits and a walk, while striking out seven batters.  During Wednesday’s 9-4 win at Oglethorpe University, the right-handed pitcher closed out the final two and a third innings of the game, allowing one unearned run on two hits and a walk, while striking out four batters.  He added a scoreless inning of work on Saturday in an 8-0 loss to Maryville, allowing a hit and striking out one.  Randolph capped off his week by earning the win in relief on Sunday in a 12-4 victory, giving up three hits and striking out two batters in two and a third innings, surrendering just one run.  During his freshman campaign, Randolph is 2-1 with a 4.63 ERA, and has held opponents to a .287 batting average.  The Eagles were 3-1 during the week, improving to 22-11 overall this season.
