Emory University sophomore Jackson Weeg pitched eight shutout innings during the Eagles’ 10-0 win at Covenant College on Tuesday.  Weeg allowed just five hits and a pair of walks in the effort and needed to throw just 101 pitches in the game.  He allowed just three runners to reach as far as second base in the game, and retired 10-straight batters between the third and sixth innings.  The southpaw improved to 9-1 on season with a 1.56 ERA, both bests among University Athletic Association pitchers this season.  He is tied for the NCAA Division III lead in wins, and his 60 strikeouts during the campaign rank 14^th in the nation.  Weeg and the Eagles will enter their final week of the 2015 regular season with a 23-11 record.
