Weeg enters his senior season ranked in the top-10 on the Emory all-time list in most runners picked off (2nd, 20), most ground outs (3rd, 301), most strikeouts looking (6th, 42), lowest stolen base percentage against (6th, .675), most innings pitched (7th, 257.1), most fly outs (7th, 194), lowest earned run average (8th, 2.34), most wins (8th, 23), most games started (8th, 35), most strikeouts (9th, 221) and most combined shutouts (T-10th, 3).

Junior (2016):

D3Baseball.com All-South Region Second Team…ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region Third Team…All-University Athletic Association First Team…Finished his junior season with a 7-1 record with a 2.28 ERA in 94.2 innings pitched…Racked up a UAA-leading 78 strikeouts…Tied his career-high with a pair of 10 strikeout performances against Ferrum College (Feb. 19^th) and at Oglethorpe (April 19^th)…Was named to the UAA All-Tournament Team after working into the ninth inning in both contests against WashU, allowing just two runs in 16.2 innings with nine Ks…Was named to the D3Baseball.com All-Tournament Team for the College World Series after tossing his first career complete game, allowing just one run on six hits while striking out seven in a 1-0 defeat to top-ranked SUNY-Cortland on May 27^th.

Sophomore (2015):

Weeg had an outstanding breakout campaign in 2015, going 12-1 overall with a 2.59 ERA in 100.2 innings with 98 strikeouts compared to 24 walks. Weeg’s 12 victories ranked first in the country and third all-time in Emory history in a single season while his 98 Ks ranked first in the UAA and seventh nationally. He was just the third Emory player to be named a D3baseball.com All-American and the 13^th player to earn All-America honors in the program’s history. Weeg added D3baseball.com and ACBA/Rawlings All-South Region Second Team honors and was named to the All-UAA First Team. He was named the NCAA South Region All-Tournament Most Valuable Player after striking out 19 batters across 15.2 innings. He went 8.2 innings with nine punch outs in the 8-5 win over Birmingham Southern to lead Emory to the CWS. He was named the UAA Pitcher of the Week three times throughout the season (Feb. 23^rd, Apr. 20^th, May 19^th).

Freshman (2014):

Weeg made an immediate impact with the Eagles during his freshman year, recording a team-low 2.03 earned run average, the 15^th-lowest single-season mark in the program’s history and the second-lowest mark over a career for any pitcher in program history with at least 40 innings pitched.  He made 15 appearances during the season, including seven starts, striking out 45 and walking 21 with a .253 opponents’ batting average over 62 innings of work.  Lefties hit just .200 (seven-for-35) against the southpaw, and opposing hitters were just 26-for-135 (.193) against him with the bases empty.  He also led all Emory players with six pickoffs during the year, the fourth-most in a single season by an Eagle.  Weeg did not allow an earned run through his first four collegiate appearances and 17 innings of work.  He pitched eight innings without allowing an earned run against Rhodes College during the NCAA Championships, striking out a season-high seven batters, en route to the win.  Weeg was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week on March 10^th.

Honors:

Prior to Emory:

Was a four-year member of the River Ridge High School baseball team, including three years as a varsity player... Served as a team co-captain from his sophomore year through his senior season... Named the Cherokee County Pitcher of the Year his senior year... Selected to the All-Region First Team his senior year, and was an honorble mention his junior year... Earned All-Country First Team recognition his sophomore, junior and senior years... Named his team's Pitcher of the Year four times... Helped the squad to the Sub-Region Championship in 2013... Coached by Scott Bradley, Jeff Runion and Tyler Wynn... Also played football in high school.

Personal:

Born September 19th... Was an honor roll student all four years of high school, and won the Key Scholar Award his junior season.
