Emory Baseball Selected to NCAA Tournament Field; Will Play Thomas More Wednesday

The Emory University baseball team will be making its third straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Championships and the 13th overall in program history as the Eagles were selected as one of the 56 teams in the tournament field as announced by the NCAA earlier Monday morning.

Emory will be headed to the South Regional, hosted by Berry College in Mount Berry, GA from Wednesday, May 18th through Saturday, May 21st. Joining the Eagles in the regional will be Birmingham-Southern, Huntingdon, Marietta, Shenandoah and Thomas More.

Emory will be the top-seed in the region and open play against sixth-seeded Thomas More on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 11:00 AM.

BSC is the second seeded team in the region and will play fifth-seeded Huntingdon. Shenandoah was awarded the third seed and Marietta was slotted as the fourth seed.

The Eagles, who have reached the College World Series in each of the last two season, ended the regular season with a 30-10 record. It is the third consecutive 30-win season for Emory and the 12th overall in school history.
