Emory University junior Blake Dincman was honored Wednesday morning as he became the latest Eagle to earn a spot on the d3baseball.com National Team of the Week.

Dincman joins fellow juniors Jack Halloran and Bennett Spiecher as well as freshman Trevor McAndrews as members of the Emory baseball squad to earn national recognition this season. On Monday, Dincman collected his first-ever University Athletic Association Hitter of the Week award.

The third-year backstop put together a monster week, leading the Eagles to a 3-0 record at home against #18 Birmingham-Southern and Wooster. Dincman batted 8-for-10 with four doubles and one home run while driving in seven runs. He scored a team-best five runs while also topping the Eagles in RBI, total bases (15), slugging % (1.500), and on-base percentage (.833). Dincman had at least two hits and two RBI in all three games, including a impressive showing in Emory's 14-2 drubbing of Wooster in the series finale on Saturday where he went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI and hit his third home run of the season.

Following the 3-0 week, Dincman and the Eagles turn their attention to UAA play this weekend as they host Case Western Reserve in the conference opener. Game one of the four-game series is set to start at 3:00 PM on Friday.
