Millard Dawson joined Head Coach Mike Twardoski's staff prior to the start of the 2017 season, helping the Eagles to a 27-14 record and a berth into the NCAA Tournament.

Dawson played college football and baseball for UAB. He played centerfield for the Blazer's baseball team and was a WR/QB on the football team from 2001-2003 before transferring to play baseball at the University of Montevallo (May 2003-2006). Dawson helped lead the Falcons to a 43-18 record in his senior season, finishing ranked 3rd in the nation by USA Today after losing in the Division II College World Series to University of Tampa. Dawson hit .361 with 32 stolen bases in his senior year. After the College World Series, Dawson signed with the Kansas City T-Bones of the Northern Independent League as an OF. Dawson played two more seasons with the Anderson Joes and Charlotte County Redfish before making the switch back to football with the Bradenton Gladiators minor league football team where he threw for over 4,200 yard, 37 TDs, 5 INTs, and claimed League MVP honors in his first year back in football. 

Dawson moved to Atlanta to coach baseball in 2013 with the East Cobb organization, where he also worked as a Physical Therapy Tech for the Atlanta Falcons's team doctors at Atlanta Sports Medicine. 

Dawson was named Paideia School's (Atlanta) Head Baseball Coach in August 2013, where he has led the Pythons to an overall 42-35 record in his first three seasons as head coach. Dawson also coaches travel baseball with the East Cobb organization.

Coach Dawson lives in Atlanta with his girlfriend, Emily Daniel.
