The No. 2-ranked Eagles shot a final-round score of 294 to finish with a mark of 585, good for fifth place out of 14 teams. No. 5-ranked Methodist took home the top spot with an effort of four-over par 580 (289-291), one shot better than No. 2 Huntingdon (292-289), No. 7 Piedmont (292-289) and Guilford (295-286).
Emory junior Max Schwarz distinguished himself by tying Pierce Robinson of Washington and Lee for medalist honors out of 70 competitors at seven-under 137. Schwarz tied his career best with a four-under par 68 over the final 18 holes, chalking up five birdies with just one bogey. Schwarz's performance enabled him to tie the program record for the best score for a 36-hole tournament. Contributing to the team's scoring efforts were Logan Ryan and Grant Drogosch, both shooting 74, and Davis Hingtgen with a 78. Freshman Logan Lowery carded an 84. For the tournament, Ryan and Hingtgen tied for 26th on the leader board at five-over par 149 while Drogosch tied for 30th overall with a 150. Lowery, making his collegiate debut, totaled a 162.
The Eagles return to action, Mar. 19-21, when they compete at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational.
