The Emory men's golf team has two rounds of the NCAA D-III Championships under its belt.  This year's Championships is being played at the Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Playing on the 6,857-yard, par 71 Jones Course, the Eagles posted a team score of 300, leaving them with a two-day showing of 596, good for an eighth-place tie with Christopher Newport. Illinois Wesleyan stands atop the leader board at 576 (290-286) while Methodist University is five shots off the pace with a 581 (300-281).  Guilford College is third with a mark of 588 (302-286).

Sophomore Grant Drogosch turned in Emory's top score of the day at even-par 71, totaling three birdies and three bogeys.  Senior Davis Hingtgen was the squad's No. 2 performer with a three-over par 74 while freshman Logan Lowery closed out the day at 77.  Junior Logan Rayn rounded out the team's scorers with a 78.  Junior Max Schwarz shot a 79.

For the tournament, Hingtgen is tied for 15th place with a 36-hole score of 146.  Lowery's two-day effort of 150 ties him for 35th while Schwarz is deadlocked for 63rd at 152.

Andre Chi of Methodist leads the field with a 137 (72-65).

Following Wednesday's play, the field of 37 was cut to 18 teams, with those schools playing the final 36 holes on the Jones Course.  Emory is slated to tee off on Thursday starting at 8:05 am.
