The No. 1 Emory men's golf team continued competition at the Golfweek October Classic on Monday. Entering the third and final day of the tournament, Emory sits eight strokes off the leader, Methodist University. As a team, the Eagles racked up 15 birdies in their second round.

Freshman Kevin Mu had the best score for the Eagles on Monday, shooting a 73 (+2). Mu struggled on the front nine, logging three bogeys and a double bogey to bring his score to five over par. However, the freshman showed resilience and knocked in four birdies and only one bogey to shoot three under on the back nine. Mu's two-day total is now at 147 (+5) and sits tied for 37th on the leaderboard.

Junior Tony Li continued his consistent play this fall, finishing the day with a 74 (+3) on his scorecard. Li tallied one birdy and four bogeys, three of which came on Par 4s. Li enters the final round of play tied for 11th and 11 strokes off the leader, Justin Chan from Carnegie Mellon.

Senior Jackson Klutznick struggled on the front nine as well, shooting four over par during his second round. However, like Mu did, Klutznick bounced back on the back nine and shot a 36 (E). The senior's strong back nine on day two brings his cumulative score to 143 (+1), placing him tied for 11th individually and 11 strokes off of the lead.

Junior Michael Burry finished his second day shooting a 76 (+5), knocking down four birdies in the round. Burry excelled on Par 5s on Monday, birdying two and shooting par on the other two Par 5 holes on the course. Burry was another Eagle that fell victim to the front nine at Raven Golf Club but rebounded nicely to shoot one under par on the back nine.
