Senior Alex Foster averaged team highs in both points and
rebounds in helping the No. 9-ranked Eagles to a pair of victories
at the Emory Thanksgiving Classic.
The 6-foot-8 Foster averaged 17.5 points and 12.0 rebounds in
helping raise the team's overall record to 4-0. In an 82-65
triumph over LaGrange, Foster was second on the squad in scoring
and rebounding with 15 points and nine caroms. Among his five
field goals were four three pointers in seven attempts.
Foster also recorded three blocked shots in that contest.
He closed out the weekend with his third double-double of the
campaign, a 20-point, 15-rebound effort that led Emory in both
categories in a 68-57 verdict over Maryville College. It was
his fourth straight outing of double-figure scoring and third of 20
or more points.
Heading into a Dec. 2 game at Piedmont, Foster ranks as the squad's
leading scorer (24.0 ppg) and rebounder (13.5 rpg).
