Emory University men's basketball sophomore Ben Pearce has been named to the Top 100 Watch List for the 2024 Bevo Francis Award, announced Monday afternoon by Small College Basketball and the National Awards Committee.

The 2024 Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List is comprised of the top players from across NCAA Division II and III, NAIA, USCAA and NCCAA. Pearce is one of 28 Division III players on the list.

Pearce has steered the Eagles to a 10-4 overall record so far in his second season, ranking second on the team and fifth in the UAA with 15.7 points per game and second in the conference with 5.4 assists per game. Pearce has scored in double figures in 11 of 14 games so far, with four 20+-point outings including a season-high 26 points on Friday at #19 WashU. He's dished out two assists in all 14 games and had a season-high 10 dimes in a double-double effort in a win at Berry. Through three UAA games, Pearce is averaging 18.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

As a freshman, Pearce was an All-Region performer by both the NABC and D3hoops.com organizations while earning All-UAA First Team and Rookie of the Year honors.

The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations revolve around season statistics, individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements.

This marks the eighth year in which the Bevo Francis Award will be awarded. The list will be narrowed down to 50 players on February 15 and the Top 25 players will be announced on March 15. Finalists for the award will be unveiled April 1 with the winner being crowned on April 6.
