Senior (2006):

Kaufman was named to both the d3kicks.com and NSCAA/Adidas All-South Region second team.  The defender was also named to the All-University Athletic Association team for the second-consecutive year.  Kaufman, who served as a co-captain during his senior season, started each of Emory's 17 games during the season.  He scored one goal during the season, coming during a 3-0 win over Greensboro College (N.C.).  The senior was a key member of the Eagles' backfield as well, which compiled a 0.93 goals against average and seven shutouts during the year.  He finishes his Emory career with two goals and four assists for eight points.

Junior (2005):

Kaufman was named to all-region third team and the all-conference first team for his performance on the Emory defense during his junior year.  He was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) defensive player of the week on October 3rd.  Kaufman was part of an Emory defense that had the ninth-highest shutout percentage in Division III soccer, the 16th-best team goals against average and broke a school record by shutting out 14 of its 19 opponents.  He played in all 19 games for the Eagles, starting 16 of them.

Sophomore (2004):

Kaufman played in 18 games for the Eagles, starting 16. He finished the season with one goal and one assist for three points. The lone goal, the first of Kaufman's career, came on Sept. 12 against Mary Washington (VA).

Freshman (2003):

Matthew Kaufman started 14 games for Emory University. He was chosen conference Athlete of the Week once. He had one assist on the season.
