Grissell played in one game during his first season as an Eagle, seing action in goal during Emory's 4-1 win over Piedmont College, playing the final 14 minutes of the contest and allowing one goal.

Prior to Emory:

Transferred to Emory after playing for the Rollins College soccer team during his freshman season... Played for four seasons on the Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy soccer team for four seasons, serving as the team captain during his senior year... Named to the all-Miami Valley Conference first team in 2005 and 2007, and to the all-city first team and all-Southwest Ohio team in 2007... Helped his team keep its #4 ranking throughout the entire 2007 campaign... Coached by George Stinson in high school... Also played for the Warrior club team, where he was coached by Mark Myton... Helped his club team to the state cup and sun bowl semifinals, and to the Evansville Invitational and Germantown Invitational Championships.
