Freshman (2009):
O'Brien played in 14 games during his freshman campaign, making nine starts. The forward finished the season with three goals and three assists for nine points, the fourth-best total on the team. O'Brien scored the game-winning goal in the Eagles 2-1 win at Guilford College on September 20th. He also picked up a game-winning assist during Emory's 3-1 win at Oglethorpe University on October 7th. O'Brien's first collegiate goal came on September 13th against Eastern Mennonite University, helping Emory to a 2-1 win.

Played on the MICDS soccer team for four seasons... Scored 20 goals and 13 assists during his high school career... Was named to the all-conference first team during his senior year, and to the second team in his junior year... Coached by Terry Murray in high school...
