Dweck, Levy and Waxman Named to the Jewish Sports Review’s All-America Soccer Teams

Emory University senior Talia Dweck earned a spot on the 2009 Jewish Sports Review All-America Women's Soccer First Team, while junior Melanie Levy was named an honorable mention and junior Adam Waxman earned and honorable mention to the Men's All-America Team.

Dweck turned in the best season of her career in 2009, finishing the year ranked 14th in Division III with 0.67 assists per game.  She set a new school record with a conference-best 12 assists during the season, and led the Eagles in scoring with 16 points.  The senior co-captain was tops among all UAA players with six assists in conference matches.  Earlier in the season, Dweck was named to the NSCAA all-South Region Third Team and the all-University Athletic Association (UAA) First Team.

Levy finished the season with a team-best six goals, including two in conference play.  The junior added on four assists during the season for a total of 16 points, tying her for the squad's lead.  Levy, who started all 18 games for Emory during the season, also notched three game-winning goals.  She earned a nod to the all-UAA Second Team for her performance in 2009.

Waxman started 17 of Emory's 18 games during the season, helping to anchor an Eagle backline that allowed just 17 goals during the year.  His performance helped the team to a 12-4-2 record and a 0.92 goals against average.
